Sakarya
Nation's Garden - Hendek
The traffic situation is a moderate route. From the Adapazarı ring road, it crosses the bridge on the Sakarya river, which is used in images and coats of arms, and connects to the Sakarya-Bolu road by passing through the villages with Ankara Street, which is a two-way road, and proceeds from the E-5 until Hendek. There are gas stations, restaurants, and recreational facilities along the way. Usually a straight route.
This route promises both a route that will make your legs work and a touristic excursion. Are you ready to get to know Hendek, which grows and develops day by day, by bicycle? Rest assured you won't regret it... Hendek, where forest areas are common, draws particular tourist attention because of Uludere Stream. When you arrive at Hendek, many plateaus welcome you. Çiğdem Plateau, on the list of the 10 most beautiful plateaus, comes first. Many local and foreign tourists flock to the city every year to see this plateau. Highland festivals are held in the second week of July every year. Çiğdem Plateau offers a pleasant view to those who come with its grass covering a wide area and hills of various sizes. Dikmen is another plateau that you should stop by while you are in Hendek. The plateau at the foot of Keremali Mountain has an incredible view over nature. Moreover, there is a memorialsite to the fallen of the War of Independence on the top of this plateau. Like Çiğdem Plateau, you can take your tent and camp here and enjoy nature to the fullest. Of course, a bike route with so many plateaus means a good workout for your legs. But don't let that hold you back from adding a cultural twist between your stops. On Flag Hill (bayrak tepesi), you can find the flags representing 16 Turkish states. There are inscriptions under the flags. These inscriptions contain the symbols of each state.
