Sakarya
Akyazı - Güzlek Plateau - Turnalık Plateau - Çiğdem Plateau - Akyazı
Akyazı, which is the starting point of both of our tours, is one of the oldest districts of Sakarya. Our next stop after Akyazı, which became a district in 1944, is Güzlek Plateau. There are more than 20 plateaus in Sakarya and it would be fanciful to say that these plateaus have been sufficiently explored. An immutable fact about these springs is that they display countless shades of green in every season. Güzlek Plateau is no exception. Our two tours on this page diverge after Güzlek Plateau. While our first tour continues to Turnalı Plateau, another one goes to Keremali Plateau. Turnalı Plateau, located within the borders of Akyazı in Sakarya, is home to magnificent natural beauty. The distance to Çiğdem Plateau,a setting equal in natural beauty to Turnalı, is 1.5 kilometres. Both plateaus have extraordinary views. Turnalı plateau, which has a small lake in it, is known as one of the smallest but most beautiful plateaus in the Sakarya region. Imagine a natural landscape, containing high mountains, vast forests, deep valleys, waterfalls, streams, lakes, plateaus and hundreds of colourful flowers. Here you’ll find Çiğdem Plateau and Turnalı Pond, the source of that little inspiration that will reinforce your passions. This plateau is considered equal in beauty to the plateaus of the Eastern Black Sea. Our first route ends in Akyazı after Çiğdem, while our other 32.2-kilometre tour ends in Çamlıca after Keremali Plateau.
